2.Honda HDS password and PCM mode function:
- First Password: Required for adding new keys or clearing old/lost keys.
- Second Password: Also known as Release Password, it is required in cases when you’ve entered the wrong codes.
- PCM Code: Required in cases all keys are lost or PCM (Powertrain Control Module) / ECM replacement. Input the last 5 digits of VIN to calculate the PCM code.

Something important to know:
You can add keys to existing ones in the IMMO system using the first password. If your attempt fails, then working keys would not start the car, because the procedure was not completed.
The first password will not be accepted anymore. You need to restart the key adaption. In this case, the PCM password is required to unlock PCM (i.e. all keys lost) and repeat it again. All keys are involved in this procedure. There are passwords also that should be used if you’ve entered an incorrect one. They differ in the quantity of incorrect attempts (1, 2, 3, etc.).
Each second password can be used 15 times, do not enter an incorrect second password more than 3 times, it will lock your IMMO function.
This calculator is compatible with HDSV3.014, some other versions like HDS V3.102.00 are supported as well. Sometimes you need to set the computer date back to a year in the past.
Currently, HDS V3.015 (and probably above) is NOT SUPPORTED, because of the new algorithm. Calculate Honda & Acura (PCM, 1st Pass, 2nd Pass and HIM unlock) Access codes by VIN for HDS (Honda Diagnostic System).
