Question:
How to use Autel IM608/IM608 II to add a semi smart key to BMW CAS3 on bench?
Here is the clue:
1.Use APA109 cable to connect XP400 Pro and CAS2 module, and add key with IM608II
2.Detect the CAS3 module and key synchronization by Godiag CAS2 CAS3 Test Platform.
STEP 1.Test if blank key and CAS3 module synchronized
Put the blank key into the coil of Godiag BMW CAS3 Test Platform to detect
The IMMO indicator doesn’t light up, which means the key is not matched.
STEP 2.Connect devices and CAS3 modul
Connect Autel MaxiIM IM608II, MaxiFlash JVCI, XP400 Pro key programmer, Godiag CAS3 Semi Smart Test Platform correctly
Go to “Programmer” option
Select Chip (EEPROM/MCU/…)>> Chip Reading/Writing>> Immobilizer>> BMW>> CAS3>0L01Y>RW>> EEPOM or FLASH
Click “Connection diagram” to check the wiring diagram
Remove the component from the vehicle, check the circuit board of the current component and identify the corresponding circuit board, and connect XP400 Pro and CAS3 module via Autel APA109 cable
STEP 3.Read EEPROM and FLASH data
After connection, click “Read” to read EEPROM and FLASH data separately, and save the file after reading
STEP 4.Add key
Go to “Write key via dump” option
Select Europe>> BMW>> CAS3 (Semi-smart key)>> MC9S12XDP512
Disconnect APA109 cable
Tap “Load data” to select the EEPROM data just saved
Put the blank key into the coil of Autel XP400 Pro programmer
Select an unused key position (i.e key9) and tap “Make key”
Reading key info
Confirm add a key to key 9
Creating data…writing back key
Save the newly generated file
Generate key successfully
The key 9 is used now.
STEP 5.Check if key and CAS module is synchronized
Disconnect all cables on the CAS3 module
Connect Godiag CAS3 Test Platform and CAS3 module
Put the key generated into the coil of Godiag Test Platform
Press the START button
The IMMO indicator lights up, which means the key is synchronized with CAS3 module now.
