One customer shared his successful experience about setting up Honda HDS 3.105.034 with GODIAG GD101 J2534 Cable on Windows 10.
Step 1: Install the GODIAG GD101 Driver
Download and install the appropriate driver for the GODIAG GD101 cable.
Important:
After installing the driver, check for firmware updates.
For example, the cable may come with firmware version 1.8 out of the box, but the utility will update it to the latest version (e.g., v1.14).
Many issues reported by users are due to outdated firmware, so always update it before use.
Step 2: Install HDS or i-HDS Software
The version of HDS (Honda Diagnostic System) you use depends on your vehicle’s model year:
- Vehicles before 2017: Use older versions of HDS.
- Vehicles 2017 and newer: Use i-HDS, the updated interface.

Note:
HDS 3.105.012 is flagged and blocked by some antivirus software. To avoid this, use HDS 3.105.034, which is cleaner and does not trigger antivirus alerts.
Running the Software
Download HDS 3.105.034 + i-HDS 1.009.001 (There is no password for the archive.)
There’s no direct HDS icon. Launch i-HDS, which will automatically decide whether to run traditional HDS or the i-HDS interface based on vehicle model.
Example: For a 2017 Honda Accord, i-HDS launches first, but it transitions to regular HDS during the connection process.
If you want to launch HDS directly (bypass i-HDS interface):
Run the following command:
C:\GenRad\DiagSystem\Launcher\Launcher.exe /p=1 /c=0
Pros of HDS 3.105.034:
The latest stable version as of January 2, 2024
No antivirus warnings or blocks
Cons:
Smaller firmware database compared to HDS 3.105.012
