GODIAG GD101 J2534 with GM GDS2 software can diagnose 1995- 2022 GM Buick Cadillac Chevrolet like a charm. Here takes 2012 Buick as an example to perform the function.
Preparation:
Car model: 2012 Buick
Purpose: Read fault code
Device & Software required:
Godiag GD101 J2534 diagnostic cable
GM GDS2 software
How to do:
1.Download GODIAG J2534 driver
(Compatible computer system: Win8/10/11 (32 or 64 bit)
2.Install Godiag J2534 Driver
Open Godiag J2534 Driversetup
Select the language, components (Godiag J2534 driver and VS2022 redistributable package) and additional tasks to complete the installation
Note: GDS2 software is also required to be installed, just find the available software with license download link by yourself.
3.Connect Godiag J2534 diagnostic cable to Buick and computer
4.Run GDS2 software to diagnose Buick
Click Diagnostics
‘No default device is detected (MDI)’
Click Change device to select Godiag J2534, and click Continue
‘Unable to determine vehicle, press Enter to select vehicle’
Click Enter
Taking your eyes off the road while using this system could cause a crash resulting in injury or death to you or others. Focus your attention on driving during road tests.
Click OK
Select car year: 2012
Select car make: Buick, and then click Enter
Select car model: LaCrosse, and then click Enter
Select Module diagnostics, and then click Enter
Select [K20] Engine Control Module, and then click Enter
Select an engine identifier: 2.4L (LAF), and then click Enter
Select the function want to perform: Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), and then click Enter
The related vehicle info and navigation path selected will display on the right side.
Alright! The DTCs are successfully read by Godiag J2534 with GDS2 software and the results displayed on the screen.
Done!
